Right to information; inspection and copying of records

1. A consumer or the consumers legal
guardian must be:
(a) Permitted to inspect the consumers records;
and
(b) Informed of the consumers clinical status
and progress at reasonable intervals of no longer than 3 months in a manner appropriate
to his or her clinical condition.
2. Unless a psychiatrist has made a
specific entry to the contrary in a consumers records, a consumer or the
consumers legal guardian is entitled to obtain a copy of the consumers
records at any time upon notice to the administrative officer of the facility
and payment of the cost of reproducing the records.
