Administration by Director; awards of money; report to Legislature by Director; review of requests for awards by Grants Management Advisory Committee

1. The Director is responsible for
administering the Childrens Trust Account.
2. The Director shall make awards of
money, by contract or grant, from the Childrens Trust Account to agencies of
the State or its political subdivisions and nonprofit community organizations
or educational institutions which provide or will provide services for the
prevention of the abuse or neglect of children. The duration of an award
granted pursuant to this subsection must not exceed 3 years.
3. The Director shall report to each
regular session of the Legislature regarding the agencies, organizations or
institutions that have been awarded money from the Childrens Trust Account,
the money credited to the Account, the interest and income on the money in the
Account, any unexpended money in the Account and the general expenses of
administering the Account.
4. Requests for awards of money from the
Childrens Trust Account must be reviewed by the Grants Management Advisory
Committee created by NRS 232.383 .
