Coordinator of Search and Rescue: Duties

The Coordinator shall:
1. Identify, inventory and coordinate
resources available for searches and rescues;
2. Investigate and apply for grants and
other financial assistance for search and rescue;
3. Maintain statistics regarding searches
and rescues;
4. Coordinate assistance during intrastate
searches and rescues and searches and rescues involving two or more counties;
5. Act as liaison with other states
operations involving searches and rescues;
6. Provide assistance, upon request, to
sheriffs during searches and rescues;
7. Prepare a plan for searches and rescues;
8. Establish and maintain a system of
communication for use throughout the State for operations relating to searches
and rescues; and
9. Prepare and distribute publications
relating to searches and rescues.
