Board of Search and Rescue: Creation; members; terms

1. The Board of Search and Rescue,
consisting of 10 members appointed by the Chief, is hereby created. The Chief
shall appoint:
(a) One member who is a representative of the
Nevada Wing of the Civil Air Patrol;
(b) One member who is a representative of the
Nevada National Guard;
(c) Four members who are representatives of the
Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association or its legal successor;
(d) One member who is a representative of the
Division of Public and Behavioral Health of the Department of Human Services
and whose primary responsibilities relate to the licensure and certification of
persons who provide emergency medical services;
(e) One member who is a representative of the
Division of Forestry of the State Department of Conservation and Natural
Resources;
(f) One member who is a representative of a
search and rescue organization of a law enforcement agency; and
(g) One member who is a representative of the
Nevada Fire Chiefs Association or its legal successor. If the association
ceases to exist and no legal successor is formed, the Chief shall appoint one
member who is a fire chief.
2. The term of office of each member of
the Board is 2 years.
