Nevada Code § 414.095

Emergency management plan must address needs of persons with pets, service animals or service animals in training

1. An emergency management plan prepared
by the Governor pursuant to NRS 414.060 or adopted by a political subdivision or a local organization for emergency
management must, without limitation:
(a) Address the needs of persons with pets,
service animals or service animals in training during and after an emergency or
disaster;
(b) To the extent practicable, designate at least
one shelter to accommodate persons with pets; and
(c) To the extent practicable, include provisions
for the evacuation, transport and shelter of persons with pets.
2. As used in this section:
(a) Pet has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 574.615 .
(b) Service animal has the meaning ascribed to
it in NRS 426.097 .
(c) Service animal in training has the meaning
ascribed to it in NRS 426.099 .
