Certain punishments prohibited while held for trial or result of trial; performance of labor pending trial or result of trial

Subject to NRS
412.412 , no person, while being held for trial or the result of a trial,
may be subjected to punishment or penalty other than arrest or confinement upon
the charges pending against him or her, nor shall the arrest or confinement
imposed upon the person be any more rigorous than the circumstances required to
insure his or her presence; but the person may be subjected to minor punishment
during that period for infractions of discipline, and may be required to
perform such labor as may be necessary for the policing and sanitation of his
or her living quarters and messing facilities and the area immediately adjacent
thereto.
