Nevada Code § 412.164

Qualifications

1. No person may be appointed or promoted
as a commissioned officer of the Nevada National Guard unless he or she has
passed such examination as to his or her physical, moral and professional
qualifications as may be prescribed by applicable federal laws and regulations
and Office regulations.
2. No person may be recognized as a
commissioned officer of the Nevada National Guard and no appointment as such
may become effective until he or she has taken and subscribed to the oath of
office prescribed in NRS 412.166 . The
oath may be administered and certified by any commissioned officer of the
Nevada National Guard, or other person authorized to administer oaths under the
laws of the State of Nevada, and no charge may be made for that act.
