The court may order the petitioner to post a surety bond or cash in an amount not to exceed $500 to pay any cost or judgment which might be rendered adverse to the petitioner in any action brought under the provisions of NRS 41.540 to 41.570 , inclusive. Costs may be apportioned to the parties if the interests of justice require.
