Erection and maintenance of power lines by rural electric cooperative

A rural electric
cooperative which has been formed pursuant to NRS
81.410 to 81.540 , inclusive, may
erect or bury, and thereafter maintain or operate, power lines, and may permit
the maintenance and operation of telephone lines in connection therewith, along
public highways, roads, streets and alleys within the area which it holds a
certificate of public convenience and necessity to serve. In exercising this
right, the cooperative shall not obstruct the natural and proper use of the
highway, road, street or alley, and is subject to the requirements of NRS 408.423 and 408.441 .
