1. The board of trustees of a county school district, or its designee, shall inform each employee of the district, including teachers, other licensed employees, drivers of school buses, instructional aides and office managers, who may have consistent contact with a pupil if that pupil has, within the preceding 3 years, unlawfully caused or attempted to cause serious bodily injury to any person. The district shall provide this information based upon any written records that the district maintains or which it receives from a law enforcement agency or a court. The district need not initiate a request for such information from any source. 2. A school district and the members of its board of trustees are not liable for failure strictly to comply with this section if a good faith effort to comply is made. 3. Except as otherwise provided in NRS 239.0115 , any information received by an employee pursuant to this section is confidential and must not be further disseminated by the employee.
