Prohibition against disciplining pupils based on race

1. A pupil enrolled in a public school may
not be disciplined, including, without limitation, pursuant to subsection 5 of NRS 386.855 or NRS 392.466 or 392.467 , based on the race of the pupil.
2. As used in this section:
(a) Protective hairstyle includes, without
limitation, hairstyles such as natural hairstyles, afros, bantu knots, curls,
braids, locks and twists.
(b) Race includes traits associated with race,
including, without limitation, hair texture and protective hairstyles.
