Establishment of Financial Literacy Month; regulations

1. The Department of Education shall
establish a Financial Literacy Month to be held once each school year. To the
extent that money is available for that purpose, the Financial Literacy Month
must include, without limitation:
(a) A parent and family engagement summit,
including, without limitation, programs related to saving and spending,
employability skills, applying to and attending college, applying for and
receiving financial aid, retirement and investments; and
(b) A Student Smart Week and a Money Week.
2. The Department may adopt regulations as
necessary to carry out the provisions of this section and NRS 391A.210 .
