Grants: Application by school district or charter school; review and recommendations of regional industry or sector partnerships and local workforce development boards; criteria for awards established by regulation

1. The board of trustees of a school
district or the governing body of a charter school may apply to the State Board
of Education for a grant for a program of career and technical education, to be
paid for with money distributed pursuant to paragraph (a) of subsection 2 of NRS 388.392 , by submitting an application
to the person appointed pursuant to NRS
388.342 .
2. The Superintendent of Public
Instruction shall review the recommendations of the representatives of the
regional industry or sector partnerships and the local workforce development
boards and award grants for the purposes of developing new programs of career
and technical education or improving or expanding existing programs of career
and technical education. The awarding of grants must be based on the criteria
established by regulation of the State Board of Education.
