Nevada Code § 388.1321

Legislative declaration concerning duty of governing body, administrators and teachers to create and provide safe and respectful learning environment; authority of parent or guardian of pupil to petition court to compel performance of duty; remedy not exclusive

1. The Legislature hereby declares that
the members of a governing body and all administrators and teachers have a duty
to create and provide a safe and respectful learning environment for all pupils
that is free of discrimination based on race, bullying and cyber-bullying.
2. A parent or guardian of a pupil may
petition a court of competent jurisdiction for a writ of mandamus to compel the
performance of any duty imposed by the provisions of NRS 388.121 to 388.1395 , inclusive.
3. Nothing in this section shall be deemed
to preclude a parent or guardian of a pupil from seeking any remedy available
at law or in equity.
