Each public school, including, without limitation, each charter school, shall, to the extent that money is available for that purpose: 1. Employ a school counselor at the school on a full-time basis. 2. Provide for a comprehensive program for school counseling developed by a school counselor pursuant to NRS 391.293 . NRS 388.055 Employment of school counselor; program for school counseling. [Effective July 1, 2030.] 1. Each public school, including, without limitation, each charter school, in which at least 500 pupils are enrolled that is located in a county whose population is less than 100,000 shall, to the extent that money is available for that purpose: (a) Employ a school counselor at the school on a full-time basis. (b) Provide for a comprehensive program for school counseling developed by a school counselor pursuant to NRS 391.293 . 2. Each public school, including, without limitation, each charter school, located in a county whose population is 100,000 or more shall: (a) Provide for the availability of a school counselor or equivalent service at the school on a full-time basis. (b) Provide for a comprehensive program for school counseling developed by a school counselor pursuant to NRS 391.293 .
