Nevada Code § 386.837

New school buses to be equipped with shoulder-harness-type safety belt

1. On and after July 1, 2019, with respect
to any new school bus which is purchased by a school district to transport
pupils, the school bus must be equipped with a shoulder-harness-type safety
belt assembly for use in each permanent seating position for passengers on the
school bus.
2. Each shoulder-harness-type safety belt
assembly required by subsection 1 must meet the applicable minimum standards
and specifications which are set forth in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the United
States Department of Transportation and which are in effect on the date the
school district purchases the school bus.
