1. The court or arbitrator shall award to a contractor, subcontractor or supplier who is the prevailing party in a civil action or an arbitration proceeding to recover an amount that was required to be paid to him or her pursuant to the provisions of NRS 338.400 to 338.645 , inclusive, his or her reasonable costs and attorneys fees. 2. The provisions of NRS 338.400 to 338.645 , inclusive, do not prevent a public body from including a provision governing attorneys fees in a contract for a public work.
