1. Upon the request of the governing body of a local government, the Administrator of the Division of State Lands of the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as ex officio State Land Registrar, may grant an easement for a public road to the governing body without charging a fee if the governing body agrees to pay the actual costs incurred by the State Land Registrar in granting the easement. 2. As used in this section, local government has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 354.474 .
