Streets and alleys

1. In the case of a district created
wholly or in part for acquiring paving, the board shall have the power to grade
and regrade and to surface and to resurface streets, alleys and public
highways, and parts thereof, within the district, with suitable material, and
to acquire street and alley improvements necessary and incidental thereto.
2. Such street, alley and public highway
improvements may include, without limitation, grades, regrades, gravel, oiling,
surfacing, macadamizing, paving, crosswalks, driveway inlets, curb cuts, curbs,
sidewalks, gutters, valley gutters, catch basins, culverts, drains, sewers,
manholes, inlets, outlets, retaining walls, bridges, overpasses, tunnels,
underpasses, approaches, artificial lights and lighting equipment, grade
separators, traffic separators, traffic-control equipment, off-street parking
facilities and structures, parkways, canals and other water type streets, or
any combination thereof.
