1. The Authority
may:
(a) Except as otherwise provided in paragraph
(b), operate in any area of the State which is not included within the
corporate limits of a city or town having a population of 150,000 or more.
(b) Provide services in any area of the State if
the Authority has contracted with the State or a local government to provide
those services in that area. As used in this paragraph, services does not
include:
(1) The making of a mortgage loan pursuant
to NRS 315.9981 to 315.99874 , inclusive;
(2) The issuance of a mortgage credit
certificate;
(3) The issuance of bonds to finance a
multifamily housing project;
(4) The allocation of a low-income housing
tax credit; or
(5) Weatherization other than an
assessment or inspection of property for weatherization.
2. As used in this section,
weatherization means materials or measures, and their installation, that are
used to improve the thermal efficiency of a building, facility, residence or
structure.
