1. For a primary election or general election, the county clerk must establish: (a) In a county whose population is 700,000 or more, at least 100 polling places where a person can vote in person on the day of the election. (b) In a county whose population is 100,000 or more but less than 700,000, at least 25 polling places where a person can vote in person on the day of the election. (c) In a county whose population is less than 100,000, at least 1 polling place where a person can vote in person on the day of the election. 2. For the purposes of subsection 1, a polling place where a person can vote on the day of the election may include a vote center.
