Account for the Training of Peace Officers: Creation; administration; acceptance of gifts, donations, bequests, grants, money or other financial assistance; expenditures

1. An Account for the Training of Peace
Officers is hereby created in the State General Fund. The Account must be
administered by the Executive Director of the Commission. The Executive
Director may apply for, accept and expend any gift, donation, bequest, grant or
other source of money or other financial assistance from any person,
association, corporation or other organization having an interest in the
training of peace officers, and from the United States and any of its agencies
or instrumentalities, for deposit in the Account. The money in the Account must
be expended in accordance with the terms and conditions of the gift, donation,
bequest or grant, or in accordance with subsection 2.
2. Except as otherwise provided in
subsection 1, the money in the Account may be used only for the training of
persons whose primary duty is law enforcement or for other purposes approved by
the Commission.
