1. The engineer shall make an assessment roll and state a proposed assessment therein upon each tract to be assessed, and he or she shall thereby defray the whole amount or amounts of all charges so directed to be levied upon each of such tracts respectively. When completed, the engineer shall report the assessment roll to the governing body. 2. When any assessment is reported by the engineer to the governing body, as directed in this section, the roll must be filed in the office of the clerk and numbered. 3. The report must be signed by the engineer and made in the form of a certificate endorsed on the assessment roll as follows: (Form of Certificate) State of Nevada } }ss. County of.................. } To the (insert City Council, or Board of County Commissioners, or other name of governing body) of ................................, Nevada: I hereby certify and report that the foregoing is the assessment roll and assessments made by me for the purpose of paying that part of the cost which you decided should be paid and borne by special assessments for ................ Improvement District No. ..........; that in making such assessments, I have, as near as may be, and according to my best judgment, conformed in all things to the provisions of chapter 271 of NRS. .......................................................................
