Oath and bond

1. Every officer of any city, whether
elected or appointed, shall, before entering upon the duties of the office take
and subscribe to the constitutional oath of office.
2. Every officer of any city who is
responsible for the handling of city funds shall execute a bond payable to the
city in such penal sum as may, by resolution or ordinance, be directed,
conditioned for the faithful performance of the duties of the office, and the
payment of all moneys received by such officer according to law and the
ordinances of the city.
