Nevada Code § 266.325

Control of animals and poultry; collection of fee; limitation

1. The city council may:
(a) Fix, impose and collect an annual license fee
on all animals and provide for the capture and disposal of all animals on which
the license fee is not paid.
(b) Regulate or prohibit the running at large and
disposal of all kinds of animals and poultry.
(c) Establish a pound, appoint a poundkeeper and
prescribe the poundkeepers duties.
(d) Prohibit cruelty to animals.
2. The provisions of this section apply
only to the extent that they do not conflict with the provisions of chapter 574A of NRS.
