Articles of incorporation

1. The mayor of the city shall file three
copies of the articles of incorporation of the city with the Secretary of
State.
2. The articles of incorporation must be
signed and verified by the mayor and include the name of the city, a
description of its location and its population category, as described in NRS 266.055 .
3. The Secretary of State shall certify
the articles of incorporation upon receipt and send one copy to the county
clerk of the county in which the city is located and one copy to the mayor of
the city. The Secretary of State shall retain a copy for his or her records and
furnish a certified copy to any person who requests a copy upon payment of a
reasonable fee as determined by the Secretary of State.
