Nevada Code § 266.022

Petition for incorporation: Invalidation of signatures; number of signatures; filing

1. The county clerk shall invalidate the
signature of any qualified elector if the signature is not signed in ink and
dated or if the signature is executed before the notice to incorporate and the
petition for incorporation are filed with the county clerk pursuant to NRS 266.018 . The county clerk shall not
invalidate a signature because it does not correspond exactly to the signature
in the database created by the Secretary of State pursuant to NRS 293.675 if the county clerk is able to
determine the identity of the signer from the signature on the petition.
2. A petition for incorporation must
contain a number of signatures equal to at least one-third of the qualified
electors within the boundaries of the city proposed to be incorporated.
3. The petition containing the required number
of signatures must be filed with the county clerk within 90 days after the
notice to incorporate is filed pursuant to NRS
266.018 .
