Penalty for failure to attend as juror

Every
person summoned as a juror who fails to appear without having a reasonable
excuse, shall forfeit a sum, not exceeding $100, to be recovered by the
district attorney, in any court of competent jurisdiction, and paid by the
person into the county treasury.
