Oath and bond

Each
constable elected or appointed in this state shall, before entering upon the
duties of office:
1. Take the oath prescribed by law. The
oath must be filed and recorded in a book provided for that purpose in the
office of the recorder of the county within which the constable legally holds
and exercises his or her office.
2. Execute a bond to the State of Nevada,
to be approved by the board of county commissioners, in the penal sum of not
less than $1,000 nor more than $3,000, as may be designated by the board of
county commissioners. The bond must be conditioned for the faithful performance
of the duties of his or her office and must be filed in the county clerks
office.
