The county code may, by ordinance regularly passed, adopted and published, be amended or extended. All general ordinances passed after the adoption of a county code shall be amendments or extensions thereof. No section of the code shall be amended by reference only, but the section, as amended, shall be reenacted and published at length. Three copies of any amendment or extension shall be filed with the county clerk and two copies of any amendment or extension shall be filed with the Librarian of the Supreme Court Law Library.
