Establishment of certain partnerships; consultation and coordination with certain state agencies

The
Office of Information Security and Cyber Defense shall:
1. Establish partnerships with:
(a) Local governments;
(b) The Nevada System of Higher Education; and
(c) Private entities, to the extent practicable,
to encourage
the development of strategies to prepare for and mitigate risks to, and
otherwise protect, the security of information systems that are operated or
maintained by a public or private entity in this State.
2. Establish partnerships to assist and
receive assistance from local governments and appropriate agencies of the
Federal Government regarding the development of strategies to prepare for and
mitigate risks to, and otherwise protect, the security of information systems.
3. Consult with the Office of Emergency
Management of the Office of the Governor regarding the development of
strategies to prepare for and mitigate risks to, and otherwise protect, the
security of information systems.
4. Coordinate with the Investigation
Division of the Department of Public Safety regarding gathering intelligence on
and initiating investigations of cyber threats and incidents.
