Powers and duties of Commissioner of Insurance; appointment, classification and restrictions on other employment of deputies

The Commissioner:
1. May appoint three deputies. The
deputies are in the unclassified service of the State. Except as otherwise
provided in NRS 284.143 , each deputy
shall devote his or her entire time and attention to the business of his or her
office and shall not pursue any other business or occupation or hold any other
office of profit.
2. Is responsible for the administration
of the provisions of title 57 of NRS, and all other provisions of law relating
to the functions of the Division.
3. May employ such staff as is necessary
for the performance of the Commissioners duties.
4. Has such other powers and duties as are
provided by law.
