Nevada Code § 223.910

Creation; appointment and classification of Director; regulations; acceptance of gifts, grants and donations

1. The Office for New Americans is hereby
created in the Office of the Governor.
2. The Governor shall appoint a Director
of the Office for New Americans. The Director is in the unclassified service of
the State and serves at the pleasure of the Governor.
3. The Director shall advise the Governor
and each state agency on all matters relating to the formulation and
implementation of policies, programs and procedures affecting immigrants in
this State.
4. The Director may:
(a) Adopt such regulations as are necessary to
carry out the provisions of NRS 223.900 to 223.930 , inclusive.
(b) Apply for any available grants and accept any
gifts, grants or donations for the support of the Office and its activities
pursuant to NRS 223.900 to 223.930 , inclusive.
