1. Before a person may be released on parole, the person must submit to the Division a signed document stating that: (a) The person will comply with the conditions of his or her parole; and (b) If the person fails to comply with the conditions of his or her parole and is taken into custody outside of this state, the person waives all rights relating to extradition proceedings. 2. The Division shall contact each parolee in person or by telephone within 5 days after the parolees release from prison. The Chief may waive this requirement if the Chief determines that such contact is not necessary.
