Chief: Appointment; qualifications

1. The Director of the Department of
Public Safety shall appoint the Chief Parole and Probation Officer, who is in
the unclassified service of the State.
2. The Chief Parole and Probation Officer
must:
(a) Be selected on the basis of his or her
training, experience, capacity and interest in correctional services.
(b) Have had at least 5 years experience in
correctional programs, of which at least 3 years were in a responsible
administrative position.
