1. Serious mental illness or other significant mental impairment means: (a) A mental, behavioral or emotional disorder that results in serious functional impairment, which substantially interferes with or limits one or more major life activities; or (b) A diagnosis of an intellectual disability, as defined in NRS 435.007 . 2. The term includes, without limitation, a diagnosis of major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder or borderline personality disorder.
