1. Any person who commits a gross misdemeanor on the property of a public or private school, at an activity sponsored by a public or private school, or on a school bus or at a bus stop used to load and unload a school bus while the bus is engaged in its official duties: (a) Shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not fewer than 15 days but not more than 364 days; and (b) In addition to imprisonment, may be punished by a fine of not more than $2,000. 2. For the purposes of this section, school bus has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 483.160 .
