Nevada Code § 177.275

Defendant to be discharged on reversal without ordering new trial

If a judgment against the
defendant is reversed, without ordering a new trial, the appellate court of
competent jurisdiction shall direct, if the defendant is in custody, that the
defendant be discharged therefrom, or if admitted to bail, that the defendants
bail be exonerated, or if money be deposited instead of bail, that it be
refunded to the defendant.
