Unless
good cause is shown for an earlier hearing, the appellate court of competent
jurisdiction pursuant to the rules fixed by the Supreme Court pursuant to Section 4 of Article 6 of the Nevada
Constitution shall set the appeal for argument on a date not less than 30 days
after the expiration of the time limited for filing briefs and as soon
thereafter as the state of the calendar will permit. Preference shall be given
to appeals in criminal cases over appeals in civil cases.
