Investigation of pregnancy: Procedure; hearing

1. If there is good reason to believe that
a female against whom a judgment of death has been rendered is pregnant, the
Director of the Department of Corrections to whom she has been delivered for
execution shall petition a judge of the district court of the county in which
the state prison is situated, in writing, alleging such pregnancy, whereupon such
judge shall summon a jury of three physicians to inquire into the alleged
pregnancy and fix a day for the hearing thereon, and give immediate notice
thereof to the Attorney General and to the district attorney of the county in
which the conviction was had.
2. The provisions of NRS 176.425 and 176.435 apply to the proceedings upon the
inquisition, except that three physicians shall be summoned. They shall certify
in writing to the court their findings as to pregnancy.
