Nevada Code § 171.142

Breaking open door or window: Upon detention after making arrest

Any person who has entered a house, structure
or other place of concealment to make an arrest may break open a door or window
if that is necessary to liberate himself or herself. An officer may do the same
to liberate a person who, acting in the officers aid, entered to make an
arrest and is detained inside.
