1. A law enforcement officer, prosecutor or other employee of a governmental entity shall not, as a condition of investigating an alleged sexual offense, request or require a victim of the alleged sexual offense to take or submit to a polygraphic examination or other similar examination that is used, or the results of which are used, for the purpose of rendering a diagnostic opinion regarding the honesty or dishonesty of a person. 2. As used in this section, sexual offense has the meaning ascribed to it in NRS 179D.097 .
