1. A guardian of the estate shall examine each claim presented to the guardian for payment. If the guardian is satisfied that the claim is appropriate and just, the guardian shall: (a) Endorse upon the claim the words examined and allowed and the date; (b) Officially subscribe the notation; and (c) Pay the claim from the guardianship estate. 2. If the guardian is not satisfied that the claim is just, the guardian shall: (a) Endorse upon the claim the words examined and rejected and the date; (b) Officially subscribe the notation; and (c) Not later than 60 days after the date the claim was presented to the guardian, notify the claimant by personal service or by mailing a notice by registered or certified mail that the claim was rejected.
