Nevada Code § 159.024

Private professional guardian defined

1. Private professional guardian means a
person who receives compensation for services as a guardian to three or more
protected persons who are not related to the guardian by blood or marriage and
who meets the requirements set forth in NRS
159.0595 .
2. For the purposes of this chapter, the
term includes an entity that serves as a private professional guardian and is:
(a) Required to have a license issued pursuant to chapter 628B of NRS; or
(b) Exempt pursuant to NRS 159.0595 , 159A.0595 or 628B.110 from the requirement to have a license
issued pursuant to chapter 628B of NRS.
3. The term does not include:
(a) A governmental agency.
(b) A public guardian appointed or designated
pursuant to the provisions of chapter 253 of
NRS.
4. As used in this section, protected person
includes a protected minor.
