80-8-109 . Educational programs. (1) The department shall develop and conduct appropriate educational programs. The educational programs shall inform those individuals dealing in and applying pesticides as to correct methods of formulating, applying, storing, disposing of, handling, and transporting pesticides. (2) In developing and administering such programs, the department may consult other state and federal agencies and private industry, as well as such other persons it considers necessary, and may charge a fee for the programs commensurate with their administration costs. The fee may not include the salary or travel expenses of any employee of a state agency or of the Montana cooperative extension service. (3) All fees collected pursuant to this section must be deposited in the state treasury to the credit of the state special revenue fund and must be spent for the purposes set forth in this section.
