76-16-209 . Alteration of state district. (1) A state district may change the boundaries of the state district, merge with another state district organized under this chapter, or subdivide. (2) A merger may not be made unless consented to by a majority of the members of each merging state district and approved by the commission after a hearing. (3) A subdivision may not be made unless consented to by a majority of the members in the affected area and approved by the commission after a hearing.
