7-13-2241 . Filing declaration of candidacy. (1) A declaration of candidacy must be filed with the election administrator within the time period specified in 13-1-502 . The election administrator shall endorse on the declaration the date on which it was presented. (2) If the district lies in more than one county, the declaration of candidacy must be presented to the election administrator conducting the election pursuant to 13-1-505 and the election administrator shall conduct the elections provided for under part 23 and this part. (3) The county clerk shall retain in the clerk's office for a period of 2 years all declarations of candidacy filed under this section.
