61-8-601 . Effect of regulations. (1) It is a misdemeanor for any person to do any act forbidden or fail to perform any act required in this part. (2) Subject to the exceptions stated in this part, the regulations applicable to bicycles apply whenever: (a) a bicycle, moped, or motorized scooter is operated on any highway; or (b) a bicycle is operated on any path set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles.
