37-50-341 . Initiation of proceedings -- hearings and rulemaking. (1) The board may initiate proceedings under this chapter upon its own motion, upon a complaint made by the board of accountancy of another state, or upon the complaint of a person. (2) A person licensed in this state offering or rendering services or using a "CPA" title in another state is subject to disciplinary action in this state for an act committed in another state where the licensee would be subject to discipline for the act committed in the other state. (3) A person licensed in another state offering or rendering services or using a "CPA" title in this state is subject to disciplinary action in this state for an act committed in this state for which a licensee in this state would be subject to discipline. (4) Hearings and rulemaking proceedings are governed by the Montana Administrative Procedure Act.
