37-40-302 . Application -- examination -- certificate -- provisional license. (1) A person wishing to practice the profession of sanitarian may apply to the department on a form furnished by the department. (2) An applicant must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in environmental health or its equivalent from an accredited university or college. (3) If the applicant meets the department's standards and passes the examination prescribed by the department, the department shall issue a certificate of registration. (4) An applicant may apply for a provisional license under 37-1-144 while completing educational requirements as prescribed by board rule. (5) A holder of a current certificate is entitled to append to the holder's name the initials "R.S.".
